Marc Alexa

Marc Alexa is a Professor in the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the Technical University of Berlin and heads the Computer Graphics group. He is interested in creating, processing, and manufacturing shapes, as well as intuitive interfaces for these tasks and has presented and lectured widely on these topics. His work frequently lead to collaborations across disciplinary borders and has institutionalized such cross-pollination by forming the Hybrid-Plattform, a joint initiative of the Berlin University of the Arts and TU Berlin. Throughout his career, he received a variety of grants and awards, from the European Research Council, Apple Inc., the German Science Foundation, Walt Disney Animation Studios, the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences, and others.
