Getting to the Johanneberg Campus by tram or by bus: The following buses are operating Chalmers: 16, 55, 58, 158 and 753. In addition, the trams 6, 7, 8 10 and 13 are operating Chalmers. Please visit Västtrafik for details. (Note: Tickets should be bought before getting on the bus, in most cases you cannot by tickets directly on the bus)

Getting to the Johanneberg Campus by car:  Please consult a map and/or GPS for the best alternatives for reaching your destination on campus by car.

You can travel to Gothenburg in a number of ways. For an overview and latest travel information see the official  Gothenburg Visitor Guide.

Arriving to Gothenburg by air: The international airport Landvetter (GOT) is located 20 kilometres south-east of the city centre. It’s easy to get to and from the airport with the shuttle bus service Flygbussarna. The journey time is between 25 and 30 minutes and information on schedule and travel costs can be found here. Buses leave from right outside the terminal building and the final stop is the main bus station Nils Ericssonterminalen in central Gothenburg.

From Nils Ericssonterminalen you can reach Chalmers University of Technology with public transport from various stops just outside of the terminal. From stop Nordstan take bus 16 (direction Högsbohöjd) and exit at stop Chalmers. From stop Drottningstorget take tram 13 (direction Sahlgrenska) and exit at stop Chalmers. From stop Brunnsparken, approximately 500 meters from the terminal, there are additional tram lines that will take you to Chalmers. Please visit Västtrafik for details.

Airport Taxi: Costs approximately SEK 420 to/from Landvetter Airport. Ask for a fixed price. The driver should have a taxi ID card clearly displayed in the vehicle. Service is included in the taximeter price. Avoid unlicensed taxis. We recommend:

Arriving in Gothenburg by train: Exit the train at Nils Ericssonterminalen in central Gothenburg. For details on available trains and schedule see SJ webpage

There are several very nice hotels, hostels and bed and breakfast within Gothenburg, and many of the buses and trams stop at Chalmers, Johanneberg (bus/tram stop: Chalmersplatsen), which means that there is a lot of good options to chose from.
