Mats Ander

Mats Ander is a Senior Lecturer in Structural mechanics at the Division of Material and Computational Mechanics and at the research group for Architecture and Engineering at Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden. After his M.Sc. in Civil Engineering -90, he was a practicing structural engineer 90-93 at SCC, Göteborg. In 1999 he got a Ph.D. with a thesis on Post-buckling of thin walled structures. Since 2005 he is teaching Solid mechanics and Structural mechanics at School of Civil Engineering and School of Architecture and Engineering at Chalmers.

His research areas are geometrical non-linear structures, Architecture and engineering, form-finding, and bio-mechanics.
